Project Overview
The competition focuses on the rehabilitation of the archaeological site and museum buildings, as well as the renovation of the square located in front of the Saint Louis Cathedral. The project aims to transform the Carthage site, a UNESCO World Heritage site, into a modern and vibrant cultural hub, open to all and with international reach. The goal is to offer a high-quality display of the remains witnessing all periods of Tunisian history, particularly the Punic and Roman heritage, while harmoniously reconciling heritage conservation with contemporary enhancement. The development of the site introduces new functions meeting international standards, in strict compliance with sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
